Lebanon PM death - US leaning on Syria
Discussion
Nothing on the BBC web site yet but the BBC world TV channel is running reports on the US reaction to the Lebanese PM being assassinated. They’ve recalled their ambassador to Syria back to the US and have made a statement all but accusing Syria of carrying out the assassination. They’ve used to the occasion to roll out all the other complaints they have about Syria and have started to use the heavy language already. Anyone think the US will use this as a pretext to take military action against Syria? They’ve already started talking about sanctions.
