Has anyone got any tips??? Ive had three full time jobs, the first on i was allready working part time at the company while i was at collage so just moved to full time. Then i was offered my first car sales job from a friend of the family, then i was head hunted for my current car sales position. The interview consisted of an informal 30 min chat.

Now im moving out of car sales and have been 3 interviews on friday, two sales jobs and an IT recruitment job.

so ive never had a real interview, can any one offer any words of wisdom????

Know you can do the job, and go into the interview with the supreme confidence that goes with that.

It's ridiculous, but most employers decide within the first 30 seconds of the interview.

So, make a good first impression (firm hand shake, talk clearly and well and be relaxed). Also, try to get excited by the job, and show your excitement.

some pointers from my father (an interviewer for the Police)

* good handshake, clean clothes/shave (if needed)
* give examples for virtually everything
* give full answers which tell the interviewer exactly what you can do, don't assume they'll assume anything.
* always have a few questions at the end, but nothing to commital - allow the interviewers a way out.
* There is nothing stopping you calling up a week before and asking if you can pop in to see what they do / ask a few questions as to what your job would entail (and hence give you better idea on how to answer the questions)

If you are asked a question try and answer it in a couple of sentences.

When people waffle it quickly becomes obvious they don't don't what they're talking about.

Good luck!

Pressed suit, ironed shirt and polished shoes - remember most of what they see is just your packaging.
Be enthusiastic. Show that you have done a bit of research on the company.

Knowledge of body language is a good idea.

PMA is the crux of the matter. If you go in expecting failure you will fail.
