I think I saw that in Bakewell last Whitsun, but I felt sure that wedg1e didnt have a merc at the time

Well spotted!

I'm not really into plates, although my 390SE has a 'TVR' plate that came with it. I turned down a bargain Esprit because the owner wanted a grand for the plate and couldn't take it off the car as it wasn't road-legal.
I also can't easily find a plate with my initials on as I isn't used and a 1 is almost always in the wrong place.

I did once fancy N111 SAT, which would just about look like 'Tasmin' in the mirror of the car in front....

I suppose W30 GEE might come close...... off to check out the RAC number plate register... damn, it's not working.
