Problem is that this Burchill lady is trying to extend the publics definition of chavdom to the whole "working class".

IMO chav is far more "non-working" class than anything else. By intimating that chav is covering the whole breadth of "working class" is nonsense. It is the workshy burburry clad scroungers that are chavs. Anyone can be a chav, it's a state of mind

Please God don't let this show be a cue for morons to pop out of the closet calling chavdom a 'socio-economic phenomenon' or some such twaddle. Chavs are why the noughties will be remembered like the 70s - the decade that taste forgot.
