till i finish working for this company. Thank goodness. Just got a nice informative shouting at.

My question : 'Hi, i think this is a question for you. These requirements say that you want to be able to look up details of the work a range of employees have been doing, but you only want to do that by specifying the range alphabetically - is that right? shouldnt you be able to select for example, the employees on a specific job? or is there something im missing?'

Response : 'YES IT DOES MAKE SENSE. DONT ASK QUESTIONS! JUST DO IT!'

Thanks, thats cleared that up a lot.

Sounds like a right tw@t.
Did the user/customer/boss specify exactly how the alphabetic search should be performed ?
If not then I'd be tempted to code it as an ASCII value search or something equally awkward.
Eg. The user wants to search for all employees whose names begins with "A". Why not make the search form insist on the ASCII value for the character "A" ( ASCII 64). Should be a laugh.

I finished my job on Monday, though a bit more amicably by the sounds of it

Rest of this week off, skiing next week and start the new one the week after. Happy days

I'm guessing you're in IT?

Send his boss a resignation from his email account then delete his userspace.
