It looks set to be an E Street Band free project but various fan sites warn don't expect another acoustic Ghost of Tom Joad CD as there will be rockier tracks.

Good stuff! Quite liked The Rising (played Empty Sky on my show last week).
Anyone know whether it's with the E-Street band or not? Clarence 'Sonny' Clemons saxophone playing, plus Garry Tallent on the guitar just sets off the Boss's songs perfectly, and his solo stuff's not as good as a result.

I actually enjoy Tom Joad in my mellower moments and love Nebraska, particularly Johnny 99, when its late and dark and I'm feeling less than 100%. I've recently rediscovered the River and love it for its upbeat blue collar folksiness.
I thought that The Rising was spectacular, on a par with Born to Run. I have all the Boss's work, collected since the 70's and whilst I can pretty much take or leave Lucky Town / Human Touch the only album I never play at all these days is Tunnel of love (which is my brothers favourite!).
If anyone has not got the DVD of the Barcelona concert, get it. Stick on the surround sound, turn up the volume and wallow.

Yep about 6 great songs and about 15 good songs. As I said still better than most bands.

Looking forward to the new album. I always dig out my Springsteen CD's for the car each spring. I've got the Tracks box set, The River and Born in the USA on rotation at present. Always seems better listening to them when I can drive home in day light.
Just ordered a couple of Bob Seger cd's from Amazon last week too, Not heard too much of his stuff hopefully they'll be good as well.

"We've got tonight" is an all time fave late night smoocher and "Against the wind" is just an all time fave.

I pretty much completed my Springsteen collection on Cd in 2003 so I decided to purchase some music by artists I've always meant to take a look at but never got round to. Bob Seger being one. So I should have Night moves and Stranger in Town waiting for me when I get home one night this week.
