.... that you don`t see regularly?

With me, it`s generally a hand shake for the blokes and a kiss on a cheek for the ladies

When greeting a neice of mine however, she insists on making a big thing of it with a big smacker on each cheek accompanied by the exagerated sound each time of "mmmmmm-wwwaaaarrr"!!! BTW, she`s a bit "show biz" in her day to day life

generally nod and say "hello"

Not been much for handshaking and kissing lark. Bit too modern for me!

'Hello' - rarely do the kissing/handshake thing. No wonder my EQ test thing bordered on autistic

Depends - if they are friends I haven't seen for a while - kiss on the cheek and a hug for male or female. Sometimes there are extras

But if the person is standoffish or likes their own space - I keep well clear.

damnnit that's not what I meant. I think variations would be a safer description (such as 2 of my female friends always greet with a kiss on the lips..always have done)

Handshake for the blokes, hug for the ladies. If we haven't seen each other for ages, maybe a kiss for the ladies.

We're quite a 'formal' family, non of that 'double air kissing' stuff.

Shake of hands for the guys, proper firm handshake. For the ladies a hug, I leave the kisses for more special people

So am I the only one that gets the full on mouth-kiss and hip-grinding hug?

Wow, I just thought you were a friendly guy
