Did anyone see that there is a campaign on in the US to limit the damages for 'sufering and inconvenience@ in litigations cases? It is costing 3% of GDP, $443 for every man, woman and child. Areas of medicine where there is risk are closing down (e.g. A and E, cardilogy). Bush (aka the shaved monkey) is also stopping them doing 'class actions'in local courts with elected judges because solicitors are paying the election fees for judges who favour 'class actions' where the solicitor 'acts on behalf of a groups of citizens' and basiclay skims money off the top of numerous small claims from a single act (like Sultan 1).


How long before we are like that here? How long before we wake up?

The problem is if you do not want to get sue in Tort then you should design out possible injury to customers ect.

Was always fascinated when studying law by the concept of contributary negligence.
