It appears the worlds going to be *****d sooner than we thought. Everyone knows that North Korea has been developing missile delivery systems. A few years ago the US sought to slow their development by easing some of the US sanctions in exchange for N. Korea stopping their flight tests, which they did.
US intelligence has just found out that Iran's new Shahab-3 missile, (just a missile at the moment - they still have no warhead for it), is actually 100% North Korea's Nodong missile, the very one they agreed to stop flight tests for.
It appears N. Korea took the sanctions deal then secretly made a pact with Iran. Iran performs the flight tests for the Nodong, in exchange for the design and hence the Shahab-3. For several years the telemetric information the Iranians have been collecting has been going back to N. Korea who improve their design, fix the bugs and return the new design back to Iran for re-manufacture.
If you have half a brain, it's pretty obvious that as soon as N. Korea has enough weapons grade material it will also export warheads to Iran. They're aren't even any design issues surrounding the delivery system - They're using the same god-damned missile.
At first it was thought that the Nodong/Shahab-3 missile would only reach Israel, latest intelligence suggest it's range has been increased enough to reach europe, including Scotland and Scandinavia.
This is from this weeks Time magazine, unfortunately there's no online link for the article.

The only reason they are developing these (if they are) is because of threat of a bullying US government that thinks it's the World Police Force. They won't start anything independently. And if Israel/Palestine get their act together then there won't be any local threat. It's called a Nuclear deterrent which is what the US, UK and USSR have been whining on about all these years as the excuse not to get rid of theirs.
Few weeks back, I read something to the effect that if North Korea is left to it's own devices, it is going to self destruct anyway. The infrastructure is shot, the people are starving and free speech is bubbling under with the government lacking in resources to crack down.
If George B could keep his paws to himself for a while, then the job might get done without his help!

A world police force would have been handy in the 1930s.
The nuclear detererrent worked in the Cold War because the two sides were, at the end of the day, rational and didn't want to get wiped out. Mutally Assured Destruction etc. The difference now is that certain Muslim fundamentalists can think of no better way to die than blow themselves up in a big mushroom cloud - going to heaven with virgins etc. They have pledged a holy war with the West. Death is glorious. And that's the difference: they just don't think like you and I.
However, after Bush's unfortunate experience with lack of WMDs in Iraq (take comfort from the fact he didn't plant some to save face) - I doubt he'll intervene again. So we will just have to sit back and see how things brew up. Mind you, if they blew up the Houses of Parliament... hmm....
Caro, Wedgie, Rude girl et all,
...er,
Hi!!
Correct!! Those kids you see in the titles, sitting on the carousel horses of the Magic Roundabout are called Florence, Rosalie, Paul and Basil:
Their respective names on the original are: Florence (Margote), Zebedee (Zebulon), Dylan (Flappy), Ermintrude (Azalee) and Brian the snail (Ambroise).
Dougal was called Pollux and spoke French with a heavy English accent (the French never fail to find an English accent hugely amusing). The rabbit was called Flappy and spoke with a heavy Spanish accent (the French people's other joke - they only have two..). Hardly any adults watched 'Le Manege Enchante' in those times, except English expats living in Paris at the time who used Pollux's sayings as catchphrases (at least they could manage that accent).
Those bloody flowers Azalee sold made me bloat to twice my origional size and float away...
Sorry.

You'll die sooner or later of something, does it really matter what? or what you did or didn't do?
You'll either be in Hell, tortured for eternity, in which case you won't be worrying about never having bought that sports car.
You'll be in Heaven, in which case you'll be so happy you care about your time on earth
You'll be reincarnated, but since if this is true you don't remember your previous life now so you wont the next time, so you wont have any regrets from the previous life.
Or you won't exist at all, in which case you don't exist to worry at all.
So death is nothing to worry about, I'm quite interested to see whats on the other side, if anything, though there is no rush
