Isn't Britain filthy

I've just returned after a week away.... The first thing I noticed when I got back was just how bloody filthy Britain is.
Oi, councils, do your bloody job!
We pay them enough, and quite frankly we get a filth infested graffiti covered dump to live in. No wonder kids don't take care of the place, it looks like an absolute shithole

I hope you enjoyed your week away! I was away at the same time (and found your 'What have I missed?' thread useful), but was jolly glad to get back. We may have litter, but we also have wonderful people, beautiful countryside and a rich history. And we speak proper English, like any self-respecting nation 
the place is an embarrassment - got back from 3 1/2 weeks away yesterday and the airport etc just looks drab and old fashioned - the airport express train didnt work so had to get a bus and then wait for 2 hours for the tube to open. and then i get to charing cross to find all trains have been diverted to run from victoria. how can all crap countries i went to have better systems than us is just a disgrace.

OK, sensible example then. Barcelona… the place is filthy… grafiti all over the place, litter lying around and the subway system is dark, dingy and unpleasant. By contrast I would rather have been in London in terms of cleanliness and certainly feel happier using the Tube.

Came back to spend 2 hours getting from Heathrow to the East End (London). Tubes were diverted and then broken down. Busses were consequently packed and over-full. If people could have travelled on the roof, they would have done.
And then they wonder why we are all so attached to our cars.

There is a huge Krispy Kreme place in the mega Tesco in Watford 2 mins from Jcn 5 of the M1. V. nice

They were nice, but not an 80 mile drive nice 
Oh, and the trains were broke, and then there was a delay because of congestion... It's not like a train is just going to turn up unexpectedly, now is it!
