Little Britain stars turn down Blair

Tony Blair has been snubbed by the Little Britain stars.

The Prime Minister wanted a cameo role in a sketch of the hit show created by Matt Lucas and David Walliams for Comic Relief.

He wanted to take the role of the show's PM - usually played by Anthony Head - whose gay aide Sebastian is forever trying to seduce him reports The Sun quoting Heat magazine.

A source said: "No 10 was keen to broker an appearance on one of the hottest shows around. It could have been a great laugh seeing the real PM dealing with Sebastian's attention, but it's obviously a vote-getting tactic.

"The boys didn't want to go there. It could be seen as endorsing a political party whereas they are only interested in making people laugh."

What a slimy self-serving creep. Good on Matt Lucas & David Walliams for telling him where to get off.

yep, if blair wants to continue acting, he can go to holywood: he's been playing a B movie part here long enough.

I would have thought that they were well suited, being tedious and untalented, utterly rotting my bones. In fact the only difference is that Tony Blair is not over rated.

I hate Little Britain and I really fail to see what humour element there actually is. It is mind rotting rubbish.

I think that when they have the post mortem this will go down as one of the worst governments this country has ever had. Not quite as bad as the immediate post war labour government, but hey, that would take some supreme incompetence.
This is a government of media manipulation above all, I think they have a lot to answer for with the demonisation of Charles. Truth is nothing to them. We had an illegal war based on a lie and lots of people got killed and are still being killed. Everyone who voted labour has that blood on their hands.
Gordon the moron is a tax and spend socialist who hid behind the greatness of Clarke and Lamont. It he becomes leader, emigrate.

bruciebabe: i couldn't agree more.
ever since he appeared on the scene, with a "tooth paste ad. smile", padded jacket, trying to play soccer (football), cool britannia, etc it goes on and on..."spin" over substance.......makes me vomit and their achievements are....

interest rate independance, the only good decision they have made....

now back to the acting......give him a BAFTA for his contribution to BBC news reporting. he will be a popular recipient?

It might have been good to see Sebastian "rogering" the PM from behind. His government has been doing it to us for years.

Excellent idea - he could play Hugh Grant in the BJ story with Divine Brown

Tony Blair single-handedly murdered Britpop back in '97 and now he wants to turn up on something that openly rips the piss out of him? It's like Thatcher turning up on Not The Nine O Clock News or something. I'm glad Lucas & Walliams told him where to shove it.
