Favourite Tarrantino movie?

I’m a real Quentin Tarrantino fan and have got all his movies - I think my favourite is probably “Pulp Fiction”. This would be followed by “Reservoir Dogs”. I like the way he “shocks” the viewer with the unexpected. Whenever anyone gets shot in a Tarrantino movie you’re not expecting it. Also, I reckon the way he moves into different times (like reading a good book) is very clever and effective. I was a little disappointed with the Kill Bill films, but they're still very watchable.

So, what’s your favourite Tarrantino movie and why?

Pulp Fiction is his best work by far IMO. His second best is True Romance, which he wrote.

Tricky question. I love Killing Zoe which he had a hand in but I think Dusk Till Dawn does it for me too...

Kill Bill Vol1 for me! I seriously think it's his most accomplished and most entertaining film. It might be that I love the old HK and Jap movies it pays tribute to so much but I think it's just non stop fun all the way. It doesn’t have the same high volume of quotable lines as Pulp Fiction or Reservoir dogs but it makes up for it in several other ways. Great performances all round too.

After that it’s Pulp Fiction, KB V2, Reservoir Dogs and then Jackie Brown, I love them all though, don’t think he’s over rated in any way.

I also like most of the movies he’s associated with, Dusk til Dawn is an all time favourite, as are Desperado and True Romance. I just love the way that the first time I watched From Dusk til Dawn, I knew nothing about it, and whilst you’re watching it through the first half you’re expecting it to carry on as a ‘Gangster’s on the run to Mexico’ movie and then all of a sudden it turns into a nasty vampire/horror film, out of nowhere! Fantastic!

Pulp Fiction for me but with Kill Bill Part 2 a worthy 2nd (big martial art movie fan and I love the homages he pays throughout the movies, both obvious and subtle!).

You're right - that was a truly weird movie!

Loved Kill Bill (1 & 2) not sure that either works on their own, but having seen the first one the second one is great, especially the fight with Daryll Hannah in the trailer.

You mean "Hero"? Tarantino had nothing to do with the production, but was instrumental in getting the film distributed in the US.

some of the vignettes are so sublime they go unnoticed.

After walking out of seeing Reservoir Dogs and having been blown away by it, Pulp Fiction seemed 'flabby' in comparison.

Years later though it still stands up to being a cracking film, but Reservoir Dogs is still the best

I have got to agree with Kill Bill Vol 1 being something special. One of the best films I've ever seen and couldn't wait for the second part. But when I left the cinema after Vol 2 I felt robbed - a boring and self indulgent film in its own right, especially when compared to Vol 1.

It's a fantastic movie - typical Tarrantino, but not as much violence. It's also got some great dialogue. Samuel L Jackson is brilliant, as is Robert DeNero.
