Dispateches TV Parking Ticket Rip Off - Outrageous

Well, I've just watched Dispatches on Channel 4. The team went undercover and filmed what really goes on in the parking ticket "industry".
They have categorically confirmed what we have all suspected for years - that Traffic Wardens / Parking attendents and the companies that operate them, do indeed have targets.
The attitudes displayed by these parasites was utterly appalling - it has nothing to do with "keeping the traffic moving on the Queen's Highway", and is totally motivated by profit.
I am speechless with anger - that in this country such practices go on, with the targets being set by local authorities, is quite frankly immoral and a total abuse of the public trust.
I wonder if anything will happen as a result of this programme?

I was incandescant with rage when I saw this. Nearly burst a blood vessel.
Not only targets, but staff who are deliberately belligerent and obstructive. The entire enforcement section of Capita who enforce congestion charging should be removed from duty or permanently excluded as they simply had the wrong attitude.
Despite the reporter trying his hardest to help, the head of enforcement kept chasing a woman for payment despite seeing written proof that she had sold the vehicle two years prior to the ticket. The reason? Because she hadn't jumped through the hoops in their manner. This is despite knowing the poor woman had baliffs on her doorstep trying to enforce a ticket that wasn't owed. It took three days to call them off even though the head of enforcement had the power to resolve it on the spot.
If Ken saw is aware of this programme and the facts it uncovered he should remove Capita from the contract immediately. Appalling simply doesn't sum them up.

When will people stop believing this lying administration while it legislates and gives full support to these profiteering private companies to provide 'essential public services'. Bliar lied about Iraq, his cronies lie when they try and sell us back something bought with our money. It trickles down to his empowered foot soldiers in the town halls of this once just and 'truthful' country; they have never had it so good. This is his idea of 'devolved power', keeping busy idiots in authoritarian jobs while the real power game is being played out for the 'Big Lever' seats in the future Roman- Senate-to-be; a place where the real social shaping will be the supreme agenda that keeps them all in spangled gowns and grapes... Countless TV programmes down the years have exposed this sham of a nation. From corrupt politicians, bent coppers fitting people up and ruining their lives, wholesale rifling of council grant accounts to dubious self help groups, and on... And how many of them ever did some Majesty's pleasure? (answers on a postcard please). All the chickens are showing signs of coming home to roost, it's just a question of how many can fit in the coop before it finally collapses under the strain that the lying b******s have been spoon feeding us for years.

Shows what lies that Tony bLIAR and RedKen get up to, removing/destroying ANYTHING which could be against their socio-fascist way of thinking (in this case police controlled Parking Wardens where one did have a measure of reasonableness) to ensure the furtherance of their crime-laden egotistical socialist policies.
I can only advise anyone caught up by this criminal system to take them to court at every instance and press for damages at aroudn £100 per DAY for every days anguish caused by these SCUM. and also punitive damages against Capity, the council and every one involved.
We've paid for the ferkin streets twenty times over, it's our RIGHT to park and the councils and their lackeys have NO LEGAL BASE to remove our rights thusly, get out and vote these scumbag criminals out of the local govt offices!!!
Things especially noted:-
RACIST attitudes by the council, not ticketing mosque visitors,
noted also that the racist (antio-white) human rights groups are keeping a low profile here
CAPITA contributed £5 MILLION to the labour party funds last year!!!!

In fact throughtout the industry they are referred to as Crapita by their various partners in Govt, Education etc.
They have a load of talented technical staff who are shafted by the sales reps who head up the technical teams.
They are probably the most useless organisation I have worked with - not a bad thing, imagine how bad it would be if they were dynamic & efficient.
I didn't see the programme so this is a hand grenade in the water of anger from other PH's, and I don't like the idea of being booked to meet a target either, BUT their wages are paid from public money and I can't think of any better way except targets of ensuring wardens are not drinking coffee in dark corners and watching the TV at home when they should be on the street. They work largely unsupervised, if they didn't have targets how would you know they were working as you paid them to work? It may be you could compare wardens output without setting targets, or note the number of complaints about their attitude or tickets but that is hardly a definitive measure and the public sector is awash with targets.
I turned it off after a while.
There was nothing ground breaking as far as I could see, Congestion charging problem seems to be just a lot of useless middle management and nobody prepared to 'own' a problem and follow it through to the finish.
This is why, when I have to contact these sort of companies, I do it from work, tell them they're on a recorded line, take their name etc...
As for the parking wardens, who was actually suprised by what we saw?
In their defence, they are just enforcing the rules that our government (that we elected) has chosen to bestowe on us.
These rules don't allow for discretion, and lets face it, the more rules that are invoked, the more people will ignore/break them.
All the people nabbed in the programme were illegally parked and when they were caught, some got violent, some turned on the water works, and some like that superb taxi driver just told the P/A to pi55 off!
All in all a depressing look at the way this country is heading, but the moral of the story should be, if you don't want to come into contact with these bottom feeders, don't park illegally.

Yup, I dont see what the problem is. In my home town there are people parked up in the most inconvenient places just because they cant be bothered to walk a few feet. I get very angry when the traffic is stopped and tailing back outside a local dry cleaners because customers park on the double yellows whilst they 'pop in'. I get doubly angry when I am inconvenienced and cannot pass whilst I am on the way to the car park a few feet up ahead, to then walk back down to the very same dry cleaners myself and then when inside, cars are tooting in anger as they eventually get past, and the t
t is stood right next to me as I get my anger up. I would not consider for one moment parking outside myself, not only because it is double yellows, but because it causes traffic chaos. I can understand being miffed at getting a ticket if you are only 'technically' illegaly parked, but not really causing a problem. But so many people are just lazy, selfish and inconsiderate in where they ditch their car. No doubt the same people who dont return the free paper to the rack and leave all their crap on the table at McDonalds.

Just to play devil's advocaat - in my home town, visitors to one of the local churches also never got tickets despite parking on double yellows outside the church.
In this case the PAs confirmed through their obergruppenführer that the council didn't want them ticketed, however if one has GOT to have these bottomfeeders then ALL should be ticketed including the mosque and biblical ones in your case!!!especially as they were quoted as being 3-up, blocking etc.... One rule for all, except for the socio-fascist inferiority compexed wnakers in govt.!!!

I have been subject to the most ridiculous "Franz Kafka" treatment by those insects that run the Congestion charge.
3 times I have run ins with them about a car I no longer own and another where I had paid the £40 fine but they processed it late and I ended up paying £125.
Boils to the lot of 'em. The mimiscule brained girl on the enforcement team is exactly what I had suspected. A spiteful, nasty, illogical, banal, thick "see you next tuesday".
And our tax pays these cretins. Surely we deserve better.

She said she only had £2, that was enough for a couple of hours, put the money in the meter, call the AA/a mate for a tow. Stick the money in then sort it out.
Demonstrate that the car is broken down as per the rules.....
Phone the parking firm and tell them you've broken down, log the call before you get a ticket...
Yes they are scumbags but if it was me, I'd be wondering how the woman managed to parrallel park a broken down car into a parking space.
Breaking down in tears, especially in front of such lowlives just irritated me....as did the whole: "But I've got to pick up my cheeeeeeldren"
I've no love for the parking slime but we all get pi55ed off if someone is repeatedly parking where it inconveniences us. And for every 'innocent' motorist who is caught, there'll be someone who doesn't give a toss and blags it at every available oppertunity.
