No, not unsightly skin blemishes but subterrainean tunnelling animals. Anyone had any experience of them and know how to get rid?

When a couple of mole hills appeared in the garden, Mrs S
viewed it in the same light as the acquisition of a new cuddly and loveable pet and forbade me from making any attempt to destroy it.

I hoped it would get bored and bugger off into the neighbour's garden. They have much nicer plants than us, But, Oh No! It likes it that much here that it appears to have moved its extended family in.

I counted oved 50 molehills this morning. Looks like a reconstruction of the battlefields of the ing Somme

I wondered if anyone on here had any more sensible suggestions than following in Jasper Carrotts footsteps.

If it gets much worse, i'll be trading me mower for a mini digger.

I knew I remembered a thread about them from a while back: www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=101503&f=23&h=0

My local garden centre sells some frightening looking traps with huge pointed jaws a really heavy spring....

They also sell a "humane" version for vegetarian gardeners.

Cheers

I've seen dead moles strung up on a fence as a deterent. I think it's the smell that sends them packing; they must be too short-sighted to see their cousins dangling.

The gardern kids wind vanes do the trick bewcuase can't stand the vibrations.
Cut into tunnel and lay it with some prickly plant works.

Don't kill the feckers the are really nice. We have a nice one in our garden. But then again were not poncy enough to worry about our lawn.

Go with it, they are a natural, admire the molehills. Thought about laying a big concreate slab and putting some artifical grass on instead?

Possibly the funniest sketch I ever heard THE FIRST TIME. Like the rest of Carrott`s material, it`s been recycled more times than a very recycled thing.

Id go for the midnight sniper approach ar the old 'thunderflash down the molehill' trick. Don't think your neighbours will be too impressed with either...
