Anyone here have any practical or personal experience of hynotists.
I know it'll now be open season for the eating onions and believing you're a chicken jokes, but hese aside, I'm very interested.
Why? cos' my memory is bloody awfull, sometimes I can't remember the content of conversations from a few hours ago and often have to be reminded by my mates what happened on holiday or even that I went!
It's not all down to the beer and can be quite frustrating at times.
Can a hypotist help??

Have I posted this before???

I have dabbled with hypnotism (as a hypnotist) and had mixed results, I suggest that if you are bothered, go and see a doc and see what he says. It might be a shrink you need.

A lot of dentists use suggestion. Have you had the magic yoghurt which makes your gums go dead?

Despite knowing this, it still works.

No I am absolutely terrified to go.
I have not been in years due to fear, but then I dont have any problems with my mouth, my teeth fell out 5 years ago.

Mum was the same, thankfully the dentist didn't have to lop her whole head off, although it could have been a lot worse, my bigger fear of losing my teeth keeps me going. Which is your bigger fear?

Just thinking about it has me in a cold sweat. I'm off to www.wimps.com

Birdbrain had hypnotherapy to give up smoking a few years ago. She says she was always aware of what was going on, and that it was more like the point you reach when you're falling asleep and you're between being asleep and awake. It did work - she gave up for about 18 months - but then started again because she would have the odd fag when she was out. The hypnotherapist had told her not to because she would "train" herself to smoke again but she doesn't get on well with being told what to do!

My mum went to a hypnotist about her fear of spiders. It helped her a lot. Now she can catch them.(she still doesn't like them though.)
