Help!! Ph Doctors!!
Discussion
Last night I stepped on a plug!! Owww! except that the earth pin actually went into my foot. There was alot of blood but i patched myself up and went to bed. This morning I can hardly walk and even the slightest pressure on the ball of my foot is excruciating!!
Is it just bruising that will go away?
Or should i go and see the doctor?
Thanks!

I'm just getting authorisation from the PCT to answer your question, but they're in a meeting all day and can't be disturbed, so I should be able to help you.....next Thursday, o.k?
Sounds like a fairly superficial injury - but it will be sore. Get some ice on it to reduce swelling, pain and bruising, dress the wound, put your foot up on the sofa, and relax. Are you up to date with Tetanus boosters?
Any chance of any really gory pictures?

Could be anything. A broken bone, a ligament, a tendon or just bruising. Definitly a candidate for a nasy infection. I'm not a doctor but when I split my foot open and it swelled up I went to A&E. My doctor wife told me to.
