OK, upon leaving flat earlier saw a 20 pound note on the landing.
Was in a rush so picked it up pending deciding what to do with it.
Thoughts :
1) Keep it - unlikely to get back to original owner, but definitely bad karma...
2) Put it back on landing - chances are it will end up in somebody else's pocket, not the original owner.
3) Put up a note saying I found "some money" and if anybody wants to claim it pop round - a load of hassle, owner might not see it or realise they lost it or even know how much they lost...
What would you do?

I wouldn't want to presume anything about where you live mate, if you think i was suggesting you live in a big dirty tower block or something. ![]()
Rob.
even if you live in a 'big dirty tower block' when you see the films shown on friday night you might just feel like the richest man alive.

Enough with the moral highground crap. I live in a council estate and do appreciate what i've got.

If you live in the kind of place where £20 doesnt mean a lot - keep it and donate half to charity (of course if it doesnt mean much you could donate it all).
If it might be somebody's housekeeping money then you have a dilema because the chances of finding out who it belongs to is remote. Perhaps a notice?
In honesty - I personally would keep it. Not being mean but I'd pick it up, look on it as good fortune and pocket it. I would be much more inclined to give extra to comic relief on friday though.
