Shipping from the USA - insurance and stuff
Discussion
Bit of a hiccup...
I've just bought a TFT monitor via eBay from a guy in the USA (if you're wondering why, it matches the one I already have, is almost brand new and was only $200.)
However, it's a fairly fragile item and whilst normal shipping would be about $50, I was anxious to get insurance - not just to make sure the box turned up, but so that if the monitor had been broken in transit/DOA I was covered.
The seller has just told me that shipping and DOA insurance with UPS is $240, with FedEx $233. This seems barkingingly high.
Just wondered if any of you clever folks can think of a smarter/cheaper way? Am I being too cautious in asking for DOA insurance?
