Prices going up for beer!

Today I had to pay 19 cents (Euros) a can for this, when last week it was only 11 ! That's one hellova hike! Still, 14 pence wont break the bank.

Stella is vile, and called wifebeater for a reason =/

Its also considered piss in its homeland. So why do we like it over here?!?!!??!? Is the advertising that good?

A Belguim co-worker of mine wouldn't drink stella if you held a gun to his head. In his country its considered the vilest cheapest piss you can drink, and I tend to agree with him. I'm just about to go out for a few pints of Top Hat; it might cost £2.20 a pint but what price quality?

There's a world of difference between Stella brewed in Belgium and the garbage that Interbrew (the UK concessionaire) turn out. I really don't know how they manage to it up so badly.

I used to live in Leuven, my gym was next to the massive Stella brewery.

Stella and Jupiler are what you could call your base low strength beers in Belgium and are not bad actually. Trouble is there are so many quality beers from there up like the Leffes, Duvel alll the Trappist beers etc. There is one pub in Antwerp I was in that had 1000 beers to choose from.

I won't drink Interbrew Stella here, the local bars used to have imported Stella but that finished 3 years ago, even Oddbins only have the UK stuff.
