Only seen 2, a mini one (as a driving school car) this morning and then a Peugeot 407 Convertible thing last week. All boring!

Corvette (I see two on the way to work every day - ruby red and black)

Hundreds of new Mustangs (that will be the downfall, again, of this car - way too many)

Ernest, as you are the other side of the pond, you may not quite understand the "05" I refer to. It is actually part of a vehicles registration plate shown on the front and back and can be something like EU 05 X** as an example. The "05" represents cars registered from March 05 and then there is another - "55" which represents cars registered from September 05!! Simple huh?!

To be honest ever since they introduced the new number plate systems I have never looked at a plate and thought "Oh, a new car". I just don't notice them anymore.

Sorry, thought everyone was just referring to year model number. Carry on...

I recall this system being introduced because we were running out of letters to denote the year. I instantly thought this system is also flawed as what happens when we reach the year 2010? Will it become 010 and 510? We might need longer plates to fit all the characters in

It will become 60 and 61 for 2010 and 2011 etc etc - this system has some life left in it - until we get to 90 and 99 which will be !!! a long time yet :P
