I've been really mean this year. I bought a nose though, and gave it to a kid on the street. I told him he could only have it if he was doing something at his school. He was doing something to do with putting teachers in the stocks.
He went off with the nose, saying he'd be raising money.
Then he asked me if I had a cigarettes. He was only about 12!

The biggest problem I have with this is that they show some really good, new, comedy interspersed amongst hours of begging.
I KNOW they support lots of good causes, I don't need reminding every five minutes. It really puts me off watching. I would donate alot more if they showed more comedy and less "soul searching" material.
It always seems to me that they show less than 10 minutes of comedy for every 20 minutes of "this is what we do with your money - give us more".
Sorry if this sounds bitter, I am not against the principal, or the charity, but surely "comic" relief should be making us feel that "yes I have it good I can afford to give money" not trying to make us feel guilty.
Plus what was this "fame academy" crap they have been showing? Fair enough it seems to have raised lots of money but "comic" I don't think so - more tragic.
