Argh, alarm!!!

For the past week there's been a van parked on the road next to our house...it hasn't been moved, and we've not got a clue who owns it. But around 5 hours ago its alarm started going off. So my Dad phoned the Police, who told him the local council has to deal with it...so they gave him the number.

He phoned it, and they told him the Police had to deal with it because they didn't have the right to...so he phoned the Police again, told them what he'd been told, and again they said it was the council's duty to sort it out! This went on for quite a while, at our cost...

So now, coming up to 10:30 pm, we have two useless, unhelpful services, paid for by us, and one bloody loud alarm sounding Great!!

Set a pile of newspapers alight and shove it under the engine, that should:

a)Melt the alarm siren
b)Get the van taken away.

Tell them it's got a terrorist in it. That'll get the buggers out of bed.

Neither of them phoned back when asked to, either. Utterly useless.

Can of builder's foam under the bonnet?

For sound-proofing? It's gone off now...maybe the battery's flat. Either that or somebody else got a bit p'd off with it

Hopefully the alarm will drain the battery flat after a few hours.
