My browser won't even let me into the site - it just shuts down all windows. Obviously some sort of quality control function!

In a job interview a few years ago, I was asked why the firm should employ me over the other candidates. I told them that being a ginger, I would help them with their 'minority groups' employment policy. I didn't get the job...

As a proud father of a beautiful and wonderful daughter who has red hair, I dont know how to take that website....

Almost everyone that meets my daughter (who is nearly 1 BTW) says she is a loverly child. Smiling, happy, giggling and a bundle of fund.... almost no-one has made a comment about the colour of her hair....

Its a sad sad world....

I just don't get it, personally. Yes, there are ugly redhead people but there are ugly blondes and brunettes too and they don't get sites dedicated to ripping the piss out of them.

TBH hair colour isn't the first thing I notice about someone. You're either attractive or you aren't, and your hair colour is like a permenant set of clothes you can either carry off or you can't. I dunno, perhaps red hair is more difficult to 'carry off' than other colours, but if they can, more often than not they're gorgeous.

I find that deep red colour quite alluring, personally.

I like the colour of my hair. Its different, and if other people have a problem with it well they can just shove razor blades up their rusty sheriff's badge tbh

Wow, all this support for us gingas - I'm quite overwhelmed...

However, as a ginge even I understand that there are limits. While I was at uni I sported a lurvly 4" ginger afro with massive pork chop burns.

Realising this was morally offensive, I have now shaved my head and have a far more respectable marmalade glow...

I don't see what the big deal is about red hair. My sister has red hair, passed on from my father's mother's side (her brothers had red hair but she was blond). Both my parents have dark hair, and the four of us were born with different coloring. My older brother was blond (now brown that he's older), I was blond until 5, and my younger brother was the only one of us born with brown hair. So we all look different within the same family.

I guess it depends on your personality as to how you handle standing out. My sister was more of a socialite and liked being unique. I don't recall if she got teased for it or not, actually. It's hard to believe people make such a big deal about it. It's a taboo make remarks about people of other skin colors, for example, so I'm surprised that this is even tolerated. It's not exactly racism, but it's pretty bad as an arbitrary prejudice.
