You hear these fantastic early weather predictions and invariably they are incorrect by the time the weekend comes.

Lucky bastards! When I walked the dog this morning it was -20 degrees and we still had at least 60cm of snow lying in the ground.

This is the worst part of winter - when you know it will be finishing soon but it just never seems to happen

And the summer tyres still lie in the garage, untouched since last November. Slowly gathering dust...

Well I put the roof down for the first early morning of the year this morning. And it was great!

Drove to work with the sun coming up - winter must surely be nearly over....

Just my luck, I'm going to NZ on saturday, but then again I'm spending 2 weeks up near the Bay of Islands sailing, diving and going to a wedding, last week they were 30C on the beach and having a late summer

roof already been down - is already like the tropics up here, compared to past few weeks.

and 'bike booked in for its 1st mot tomorrow - it must be spring!
