2nd Year anniversery ideas??

Any suggestions????? it falls on a sunday so thinking a day out somewhere or something like that. I did the normal cooking a nice dinner and bottle of champagne last year but i want to go out and do somthing this year.

Still in aylesbury. Ive eaten at the crooked billet before and its very nice!! the thing with combe hill that we have been up there beforejust for a walk so id like to go somewhere different.

We arnt married yet but it think it may be on the cards soon!! ive booked a weekend to rome in august so i may pop the question then!!! (gulp!!)

As for something to do how about a walk around Marsworth Reservoir? Very nice if the weather is good!

I went to the peking last week fo rthe first time. I was quite impressed with the food and the service. Have you been to rossini's(sp)

Not personally but the old folks have and they really enjoyed it. The Thai restaurant in the George & Dragon pub is also very good! Good food just not quite as special as the Peking etc as the atmosphere isn't the same. (Probably as its a pub as well)

Did the circular walk round chequers a couple of weeks back, needs walking boots cos it's so muddy but a really nice walk.

I parked in a little lane by some cottages just past the front gate to Chequers.

Walk over the road through gate and across field past front of Chequers then up hill, around woods (keep close to the fence and you won't go wrong), round some grassy hills and then across a couple of fields down to road (by a church), turned right and then first right again (about 20 yards) and keep following the public footpath circular route signs.

Probably about 5ish miles total, take a bottle of shampoo and a picnic and stop halfway round maybe!! A good place where we normally stop is just after the wooded section there are some grassy very steep hills that you walk around about 1/2 way up. Nice views over the vale of Aylesbury.

if in aylesbury (hi, i used to live in wendover/tring and long marston) you are not too far from this wonderful place - usnure if they still do it, but they used to do quite reasonably priced lunches, considering the quality and ambience - most importantly le manoir is sheer class and the finest cuisine but it is utterly unpretentious and the gardens are lovely to walk around.
