No, not the sort of TV whos name is Mandy at the weekend, the one you sit in front of all night.
My 32" widescreen went bang last week. My budget is £400-550 approx. Do I go for another 32" (doesnt really need to be that big) or drop down to a 28" with more gadgets on it (picture in picture etc, again, probably will never use most of these features, so not really a priority).
Can you folks make any reccomendations for either 32" or 28"? Make, model, best place to buy etc? (How long is a piece of string?)

I am swaying to Sony as everyone I know have them and swear by them. Im assuming I could get slightly more for my money if bought another brand, but Sony are among the best. Still doesnt answer the 28" (all singing and dancing) vs 32" (fairly basic) problem I have (sigh, what a conundrum huh lads?)
And then of course there's the Nicam vs Virtual Dolby question? I have no idea which is better

Its been at the menders for 3 weeks (it was fixed for another problem 7 or 8 months ago). They phoned to say the tube had gone and was beyond economical repair, their bill to date was £120 but as we (and family) have used them before, they agreed to not charge us. Do we want them to bin it or give it back and mean I have to slope off down the tip. Reputable company so I dont 'think' they are pulling a fast one.
Its all these flicker free mhz, flat screens/pure flat screens, scart sockets, child locks..the list is endless.

Just spoke to my BiL and we both agree probably best to go for a 28", probably a Sony, but even with that there are half a dozen models and I cant see whats different between them
Bring back 4 channels and a betamax!
