What was the best Birthday you ever had?
Discussion
Yes, yes I know some of you will say that it can’t have been that good if you can remember it, but try!
It has to be either my 19th or my 23rd for me.
19th was spent on a pub crawl through London, 8 of us sleeping in St James’ park before being kicked out. trip to Bar Salona (sp?) in Soho, watching the sunrise, crashing in mate’s flat in Ken., followed by 18 hours sleep.
23rd Started by waking up at home in bed with 18 year old girl from Oz
, Parting s**g
. All usual Happy B’day calls with family, then mates coming over and going for a few jars and lunch in ‘our’ pub (all bar staff were/are mates as was manager). Back to mine for pudding (a very special birthday cake/present a mate had baked for the occasion

). Then got a call from a very attractive prospective g/f to wish me Happy Birthday and to ask if would be interested in going out the following weekend
Then the rest of the day was a blur but included more mates coming over, much more drinking, etc and serious Playstationing, general
and snoging a couple of female friends in a joke threesome(don’t ask). All in all a successful day I think!

Went out to some pub in Banbury, loads of us.
After that and a brief daliance with a very dodgy nightclub we got about 40 people back to our gaff.
Party went on until 11am the next day, unconscious bodies littering both front and back gardens.
The rest of the village loved us after that

Tough choice.
Either my 21st when I hired out a mate's bar in West Hampstead where we drank the bar dry of absinthe and champagne. When we got kicked out the party carried on at a friend's house which didn't stop until Christmas morning (my birthday is on the 23rd).
Or my 29th when I went clubbing at Turnmills with a load of mates, some of whom I hadn't seen for years. Roger Sanchez was supposed to be doing an 11pm - 6 am set but he obviously bought too many records and he was still going strong at 10 am when we left to go to an after party.

As it happens, it was my 50th which was just two weeks ago.
Surprised by: two nights at the Lodge on the Loch followed by a three night luxury cruise in the aboard the Hebridian Princess with a black tie gala dinner coinciding with my actual birthday, then 1 night at the Inverkip hotel for an evening with friends followed by a visit to family and return home. The weather was superb, and the entire event had been arranged by Mrs Bat without me knowing a thing about it. Fantastic

18th - rented top floor of a club with a a few mates sharing the same birthday. Didn't have to buy a drink all night
19th - since St Patrick's day is the day before and this was my first birthday at university it proved to be most drunken, lewd and fun indeed. Highlights include a pool and pint session during the day to warm up for the evening. Made it to 6pm then on came the £30 pint of nasty. All down ok but 10 mins later don't remember much until about 2am when memory and vision sync together. In the mean time I had lay down on a zebra crossing and apparently had a close call with a double decker bus and encouraged a female friend to pee in a urinal which then resulted in us being asked to leave. We all ended up in a gay club and it was quite amusing to see some homophobic friends, one of whom would not go to the toilet and another who ran off home. I thik I just laughed most of the time there as I witnessed first hand that most of the female hockey team were indeed lesbians
21st - house party, which started out with lunch time drinks. A couple friends round to DJ. I supplied some super wattage speakers which proved too noisy for the neighbours and police as we didn't hear them knocking.
I've had some parties which were arguably better than birthdays notably our Hawaiian themed party where we put a paddling pool in the front lounge - took 3 weeks to dry out that did! Best parties though just require having a great laugh with your mates.

My 17th when I was insured on my dads Citroen and he took me out to learn to drive at 8AM (when the policy started), then onto a large car-park to practice some more. Got back to the house at about 10:30 to open my presents (main present was me on the insurance) and then in the afternoon he took me out on the main roads to drive across to my grandmothers. My dad is a top bloke
My 18th was decent as well - my father paid for myself to have a "flying" lesson from Newcastle airport, there was one passenger seat and since my sister refused a good mate Dave (Mr Friendly on here) came along
Loads of pictures and I took off
Generally speaking, birthday celebrations for me suck.

My 18th. Seemed to just be a week-long orgy of alcohol and cake. I had a bit of a celebration the night before (a Friday) with all my mates on a local pub crawl, and ended up at one of them doing an all-nighter, watching comedy videos and slowly losing coherence to vodka. Then my actual birthday was on the Saturday, all champagne and presents, made even better by the fact that my Dad had rung up Aston Martin to design me a cake, featuring a print of a DB7 (had to put a knife in it :cringe: but it's his payback for me getting him one in the shape of an XK120 for his birthday the year before
) and the crest. Then the day after that I celebrated it with the family, so it was down to a restaurant - more champagne et al. Day after that I went out with my cousins to a club - yet more drinking. I think the last day where I didn't actually do anything was the Thursday.
Absolutely mental, but I was reminded by my Dad to treasure it, as they're downhill from thereon in

19th
Was wild, absolutely mad!
I had it in September (ok my birthday is in March, but still there were reasons!) as a joint with all my friends as we were all embarking on various GAP years/university and it was the last time we'd all still be around.
Basically had it over a weekend at a friend's who has a massive place in the country. Absolutely LOADS of people there and we were basically a drunken orgy for 72 hours. Serious alcohol consumption happened there!

My best bithday was probably my most recent one, my 14th.
I got my Bass Guitar and a bit of money. Once I had played the Bass for a couple of months I learned a bit of drums and guitar aswell, so it helped me get more into music.
The best party I've been to was my friend's 14th. Paintballing is great.

My best was probably this year's - what I can remember of it.
It was spent in the company of some very good friends. And I got to celebrate it all over again with Ace-T, Judas, Rude Girl and Podie at the weekend. They just keep getting better and better.
The trouble is, I can't remember any others apart from my 21st, which I also spent with Judas!
