An alternative opinion poll.
Discussion
An alternative to the traditional opinion poll is to see what people are actually prepared to bet money on.
This after all may perhaps be a better guide than interviewing harrased shoppers. This method correctly forecast the outcome of the recent US presidential election-when the pollsters were not so sure.
There are two methods of betting-spread betting (where you bet on how many seats the parties will win) and of course a straight bet on who will win the election.
The currrent prediction is that the Tories will win around 200 seats, a slight improvemnt from their current total of 167. The odds on a Labour victory are a virtaully certainty at 10-1 on.
So those PH's who are forecasting a suprise Tory win-put your money where you mouth is and make a fortune
