Snowdon's probably the worst bit of Snowdonia

There's plenty of much more picturesque hills to wander around without trains to the top

As there is a train to the top, cafe seems like a good idea to me

From memory when i went there in 86 their was also a cafe at the halfway point.

Snowdon in winter, without fat women/old folk/kids, can be a glorious spot.

Then the spring comes and they start the train running....

I'm from a Welsh family. I've lived in Wales. I'd rather be in Wester Ross......

It's not a funicular railway - that's one that works on gravitational principles where the weight of one train descending helps pull the other to the top of the incline. Snowdon's is a rack-railway, which utilizes the Swiss "Abt" rack and pinion system. It's very clever, take it from me.

Well, perhaps, but I would imagine the costs of getting materials, equipment and workforce up there will be somewhat higher than Barratts have to contend with when constructing 14 Acrington Gardens, Slough.

Maybe to try and raise money the Welsh Rugby Team can run lessons for the English on how to play the game? This should be good for a few quid, and if it is done on a monthly retainer should prove a good source of income for many years.
