Been reading some posts about what to buy and what not to buy because of depreciation and its got me thinking!
How much have i lost through depreciation over the years and can you guys top these eye watering amounts?

This is just a selection of my best buys!

Own 996tt x50 now, i paid £104k 16months ago and its value now is about £75k Loss of £29k.

Owned 996tt from 02/03 for 12 months and lost £19k

Owned Boxster S 02/03 for 12 months and lost £8k

Owned Audi S3 01/02 for 12 months and lost £7.5k

Owned Ford Rs Turbo for 7 months and lost £7k

No wonder im always skint.

(What's that £74ish K?)

How does everyone else add up?

Me? So far zero!

1 Peugeot 205 XE cost £500, still holding on to it - but expect to sell for approx the same later in the year (or keep it in the family!) However my next car will be new and will probably depreciate a few grand at least.

I did that, only lost £1k in two years and 12k miles. Did however spend in excess of £5k maintaining the bugger!

All good though
