I have to say, some of the best music ever made?
Listening to ABBA GOLD coming home tonight, they were an absolutely awesome group of musicians/singers.
Can anyone honestly say they don't like their music?
The test - listen to 'Thank you for the music' at full blast and tell me it doesn't do something to you. What a voice!

I am a music collector, and have a pretty eclectic taste.
Today I am listening to Rilo Kiley, The Libertines and the new Doves.
But I also think Abba are fantastic.
My favourite Abba track is an obscure one, and the last hit they had - " The Day Before You Came"...

At their height, Abba were sometimes looked on as the "S Club 7" of their day - but there is one massive difference, they wrote, arranged, performed and recorded all their own music under their control. The two guys (Benny and Bjorn) are extremely talented composer. A couple of years ago I performed in the stage musical "Chess" (written by them with Tim Rice)and the musical arrangements are simply stunning - on a par with Bach and Mozart in my opinion.
As a child I was subjected to endless family car trips with either Abba "Arrival" or Abba "Greatest Hits" cranked out at full volume. As a result I care little for them, and will avoid their music wherever possible.
Plus I could never work out why my father preferred the dark haired, yellow toothed woman to the blonde
Did visit the Abba exhibition in Stockholm a couple of years ago though. Think of it as therapy, like making arachnophobes touch big hairy spiders
I also have issues with Barbara Streisand...
In 20 years will my son resent Guns and Roses in the same way?

Your Dad's a weirdo.
The blonde one had one of the best butts of all time and made quite an impression on the teenage unrepentant.
Can't think of ABBA without thinking of Muriel's Wedding. Porpoise Spit anyone.
