Get out in the lovely fresh air, mate - you're guaranteed to feel better!

If not - shove 2 tissues up your nose, and weld yourself to the bedsheets whilst watching Trisha or sommat.

Men need to feel sorry for themselves, I know. There There.

Cobblers. When I get ill I fight it with every ounce of my manly will, and refuse to concede anything to the vile germs within.

Only last year I mounted an expedition to the summit of Everest while suffering from a hacking cough and a very runny nose. Even when the man-size kleenex became frozen to the end of my hooter I didn't even pause but strode out anew and with even greater resolve.

Women on the other hand rush to the doctors at the first sign of a slight headache.

I always thought man flu was women's pisstake about men moaning when they just have a bad cold.

So is what ever you're suffering like this or worse:

the flu; an infectious respiratory disease contracted by inhaling a virus. Influenza is characterized by chills, fever, prostration, headache, muscle aches, sore throat and a dry cough. Influenza may be life-threatening in infants, the elderly and persons with compromised immune systems.

I'm not mocking... just trying to work out what exactly man flu is.

It's a peculiar strain of virus they contract a few days prior to a Bank Holiday weekend when confronted with a list of impending chores!

Grow up man! Get in your old man's car, wind down all the windows and open the sunroof. Drve to the cat and fiddle, have a pint of Coke. Drive round some more. Feel much better.

Then when you're done, do the housework that your mum asked you to do this morning

It's obviously a devastating disease that women are impervious too. If your car was running three cylinders down you'd let it get fixed before asking too much from it. Same applies!

My Trev would still be running on 5 cylinders so he'd cope, but then again he's a manly beast and rarely complains when I ask too much of him!

Had it a couple of weeks ago. Flet bloody awful for ages. Still got a residual cold. Lemsip Max or the Boots Ibuprofen Cold/Flu are good. the Boots one reduces swelling in the sinuses which you get when you go from temperature extremes.
