kids, who will have them?

Just completed an 11 hour shift ending at 0230.
Get home to find my 2 yr old daughter is spewing everywhere, my 7yr old son has earache and is complaining of feeling sick, my wife has been up since 5 oclock this morning, and still up.

I am now watching how to dance with the teletubbies for the zillionth time, my daughter shows no sign of being tired even though she has virtually turned herself inside out and had no sleep. Even better, I have to be back fighting crime and social injustice for another 11 hour shift tomorrow.

Sympathies. Having had the pleasure of watching and listening to five similar bundles of noise with no regard for emissions laws, there's not much you can do until they can control their orifices better, though we all have our moments don't we.

As a work related suggestion, at times like this when you're feeling really knackered, just fight the crime and let Bliar worry about social injustice, with luck it won't be bothering him for much longer either

I have a four year old and a two year old. A virus/ flu is doing the rounds through our family.

Only parents know the magic that is called "Calpol".

Calpol, brilliant stuff.
Bit knackered now though, nothing like watching the sun come up with your 2 yr old.
At least my 7yr old went to sleep, that's a bonus I suppose. 2 yr old is waning a bit now though.

Sleep, pah, that's for losers.

Noddy is a curious chap that drives a pretty boring car with a mate called big ears. He has a pointy head, and appeals to children....bit like barney but not as mad.

The porker is nearly there brian, not bad considering it cost me just under £1000. (About $800 ish). Re-fettled the engine, shortly treated to stainless exhaust and conical filter. In my book 944's are still one of the nicest looking cars around. (I realise I may be in the minority here!!)

Hey Mike......have you tried them on Medised?......great for colds and the like and it has a mild sedative effect.....we use that and some teething relief liquid called Abnesol......certainly did the trick for our little 'uns
........trouble is, by the time you've learned all the 'tricks' the kids are fine again and you've aged another 10 years!

Silverback, from the sounds of it if your son is under the weather too then it's probably some kind of viral thing, regular calpol and kiddy ibuprofen should do the trick. Hope they get better soon!

Thanks Si, I think my sons sickness may have originated from eating far too much at a friends' party, then following it up with 2 hours of energetic gymnastics on the rings and pummel.

He's ok I think, my daughter seems to suffer from a reflux problem, which I thought was on the wane, but after last night I don't know.

Saying that, a colleague has phoned to say that there is a lot of child sickness bugs around at the moment...weird though, she doesn't have a temperature and is perfectly happy in herself.
