Made The Mistake Of Driving On Sunday Night...

When the local "Cruise" was on.
Dual carriageway with 40mph limit through Guildford town centre. Loads of chavvy little motors exiting Burger King carpark, and I find myself mixed up with them. Suddenly things get very slow and they're all doing about 30mph, so I pull into lane numero two to overtake the sheepishly slow traffic...
Police with speed gun ahead. On a motorway I would have guessed that was the case from the speed of the traffic, but I figured in this instance that the slow traffic was caused by somebody turning off into a petrol station just off the carriageway...
I don't know if they even got a look at me because there was alot of stuff in the other lane, but I reckon at the time of my overtaking the speedo (I took a very quick glance, although I was really trying to keep an eye on what was going on around me as the traffic was bunching up ahead) was reading 44mph.
Now I am slightly worried... Bollocks.
