dreadful drink, but great fun in a curry house. blow the flame out and stick the glass to your chin! a friend did this with a beard! cupid stunt!! still has a little scar. and we didnt realise the table cloth would be so flammable...... ours used to have coffee beans in, dunno why

I did exactly this on Saturday night.

Rest of the evening was blurry. To be honest I was punch drunk before the 'flaming Sambull' anyway.

Variation on a theme but pour the shot into mouth, then light it, swallow and suck in the vapour, few of those should sort you out nicely for the rest of the night.

Start mixing those with 'Cheeky vimto's' and your will soon be on the floor

Have drunk alot of it in the past, an office party and two thirty something single mums comes to mind. The idea of corrupting an innocent 20 year old with loads of Sambuca was a good idea. Getting him so drunk that he passes out kind of spoiled the plan.

Due to its viscosity, it sticks to and effectively lines the lining of your stomach. Cue the morning hangover followed by non alcoholic drinks which wash over and unstick the sambuca from your stomach, and you get drunk all over again

Not a huge fan of shots myself - they've been responsible for a couple of chunders with no warning. However the Baileys-based ones are quite palatable. I did once try a gas chamber, which was a bit complicated but by crikey it was effective.

Plotloss - I would have wholeheartedly agreed with you until Saturday evening. Now I think Absinthe should be banned!

I have a bottle of very nice Black Sambuca at home, one to keep for occasional use, as is absinthe.

Side note. friend showed me a bottle of absinthe yesterday: 85% Volume it actually had a warning on not to drink it neat!
