So, given that this coming Saturday sees the return of the good Doctor, here's a little poser for you:
If you could travel in time, where would you like to go? Who would you like to meet? Past or Future? Famous or infamous? Which era would you like to take a holiday in?
And why?
(PS - don't worry about corrupting the timeline, or paradoxes involving the accidental slaying of ancestors...)
I'll kick it off - I'd love to spend a few weeks with Leonardo Da Vinci and have a long chat about his ideas... I think the man was such an exceptional mind that it would be a most incredible experience. I'd take an Ipaq with me and show him that.

Maybe take a holiday now again at the Hamptons, circa 1920.

Id spend everyday in a different time.

Well, you could try a Tiger Moth... yep, big Lutyensesque house in the country, no social angst (poor people out of sight down the mines), Fraser-Nash, or Bentley if stinking rich, trips to Le Touquet... low taxes... wonderful
Well first it would have to be the Playboy Mansion two months ago (Hugh recently let most of the girls go)
Way way way back in time to meet the guy who invented the wheel and shake his hand, he would probably be a caveman so would appreciate some good hand tools, axe, hammer etc
Holiday era would have to be mid 60’s summer time touring the southcoast holiday resorts in a Lotus Cortina Mk1 and one of the playboy girls, picnic hamper in the boot with loads of goodies , after the holiday buy a barn and park the car for 40 years
Then a quick trip 200 years into the future to see what its like, will cars survive, what fuel do they use, do they have robots like iRobot that will help round the house
