New footpath in the South west
Discussion
They've just opened up a new footpath between Strete and Stoke fleming on the South West coast.
the new path follows the line of the coast and allows walkers sweeping views over Start Bay. the old route meant people had to walk on inland roads for that section.
The route was funded by the Countryside Agency.
At least some things are improving in this country-better access for walkers.

I love the cornish coast path especially between st ives and newlyn. Even when I lived there we used to make a point of walking the route at least once a year.
truely some of the best scenery in England and surprisingly empty even in Summer.
You can't beat a good coastal path in the west country-I haven't been to Cornwall for a long time, but have done a fair amount of walking on the north devon coast (staying at Woolacombe)
