Transexuals - what's PC?

My manager who likes to be seen to be very PC took me to one side the other day ,when I mentioned that I'd been doing a job at the home of a transexual.
Him "We don't call them transexuals anymore"
Me " Well what do we call them then?"
Him "Erm, I'm not 100% sure but I think it's a transgender person. They don't like being referred to as transexuals "
So can anyone please tell me how one should refer to a fragrant 20stone, big breasted, wig wearing bloke in a frock who's shortly to be surgically seperated from his wedding vegetables?
Is there a recognised collective noun for such people?

trans = between
sexual = 1. Of, relating to, involving, or characteristic of sex, sexuality, the sexes, or the sex organs and their functions.
therfore transexual = between sexes.
or as my yorkshirien freind would put it.... twixt on thing and t'other
otherwise bird or bloke.

I think the PC term is "Gender-enhanced".
(Long story, but from a course I went on, where we had to tell our worst moments in management, and my colleague stood up and said it was when one of the people in her new department took her to one side and told her "I wasn't always a Karen")

Copy of note ive sent to Abuse monitor.
"The post's of "egoboss" re another PH member are aggresive and and innapropriate - another Keyboard Warrior who's behaviour is not in the spirit of PistonHeads."
This is the first time i've Reported Abuse on PH in 42 months of membership.
Do any of the longer standing members,still remember when we discussed cars and stuff in a Civlised manner ?

Not sure how civilised it always was - but it certainly wasn't sustained personal attacks out of the blue IIRC. Egoboss - wind your neck in or you'll find your stay here short lived I suspect.
