Hi all, my name is Jennie (stainless Steve's wife)
I have just opened a new charity shop for Kirkwood hospice in Lindley,
link is www.kirkwoodhospice.co.uk/index.htm this is for people with life threatening illnesses, and was hoping to see if I could get some more donations of good quality clothing brica-brac ect for the shop and raise awareness for the charity .
My shop address is 90a Acre Street, Lindley, Huddersfield, HD3 3EL or contact through Steve's profile.

Thanks for your time
Jennie

I passed a tonne of old clothing and books onto local cancer shop 2 weeks ago, but have stuck some £ in an envalope and will post it tomorrow Good luck with the shop, and supporting the cause, which is a very good one!!

Edited to say: For those of you who are not familiar with hospice, they make a huge difference in the lives of those who are already terminally ill and in pain or suffering. Most of us already support charities, but it would be nice to see another post or two today, if only posts with good wishes

Good luck Jennie, wish you all the best.

My dear ole mum does a charity fund raiser each year for St Catherine's Hospice in Crawley, where my nan spent her last few days.

This year's fundraiser is a black tie dinner dance in East Sussex. If there's any tickets left, maybe some local PHers fancy taking a table?

Edited to appologise to Jennie if my post sounds like a thread hijack. Wasnt meant to

Jennie I should be able to find some clothes and books for you. I'll try and zip over one day next week, what days are you there?

I think I've still got a few bags of stuff in Glasgow. My mother has been nagging me for years to get it out the house. If it's useful to you I'll see if it's still there next time I go up.
I'll ask around some friends in Leeds when I get back and drop it off if I can round up anything.
