I think all the Bonds have done a pretty good job in their own ways.

Connery probably is the best IMHO.
Brosnan is very close to Connery.
Moore is generally very watchable in most of his.
Dalton's very different, but still very watchable - The Living Daylights is one of the best Bond movies IMO.
Lazenby was good in the only one he did - it was a shame he didn't do more.

If you read the Fleming novels I think you'll find that Bond is half-Scots...

Oh, and Sean was best, although I also reckon Brosnan is excellent in the role. Bit of a bugger that he's been denied another movie.
