Dumb woman on the radio today!
Discussion
I was listening to a radio quiz earlier and this woman (Irish) calls in..
DJ: "How many Kings of England have been called henry?"
Dumb Woman: "Erm....well....I...er.....I can only think of henry The Eight right now....erm..is it about three?"
Cue long pause from DJ, and me bursting into fits of laugher in my car!!!
Where do they get these people...and why do they enter quizzes??!

not all Kings were called Henry xx though were they? I mean you take the name Henry from someone in your family, but they might not have been King. Or is tradition that the next potential King in named after a prior King?
Inexcusible stupidity for not choosing the obvious answer, but there might be some logical thinking behind it.

When I was little I found it hard not to think of "Henry VIII" as being pronounced "Henry V8". In fact, I still find it hard... and I bet he'd have a rather interesting garage if he was alive today.
When you were little, he was still on the thrown!
What was thrown? And why did he throw it?

Being Irish, maybe she never studied British history?
On the other hand, most Irish tend to have better knowledge of some aspects of British history than many British.
Well you would hope that being called Henry the Eigth might suggest to her that he is the eigth Henry...

Henry V3 surely?
Yeah, I knew "III" was "3" not "8", but the error was (and is) strangely irresistible.
Hmmm... V3... can't think if any... "Henry 120 degree radial 3" is an interesting configuration, but it doesn't really have the right ring to it.

Time for some shackles, a shackling or even the shackler.
