So what will you say when canvassed?

I had a New Labour chappie, all smart with his red rosette and clip-board, walk up to me outside Sainsbury’s yesterday asking whether they can expect my vote.
I simply said, “No. Tax. War.” and walked off.
I would not say anything-when approached by Market researchers I walk very fast and ignore them.

when canvassed??? the last election i didnt even get a flyer through the door these people have no idea about marketing
Well I live in what is considered a "marginal", so I'm expecting loads of approaches. You're probably in a safe seat, so they won't give a toss about what you think!

Whhaaaaaat! Marginal? 'stoke? I thought we were as true blue as you could get? Andrew Hunter has been the MP for years and years...Maria Miller (the new candidate) should win easily! No?
I'll admit that the Council has its fair share of yoghurt knitters on it - but even Popley kicked out its Labour Councillor at the last election for an independent (couldn't have happened to a nicer man IMO - a complete New Labour Control Freak if ever I met one).

No you're wrong Don - last time there were only a couple of thousand votes in it. This time, because Hunter is off it's more of an "unknown". I wouldn't be surprised if Labour win, to be honest.

what tunbridge wells safe?! ah yes good point...

I would probably say, "why yes, young man, I'll vote Labour because I have a social conscience, I don't want the tories to whore out any more British industry, I don't want spending on the health service or schools to be reduced because tory filth can afford to go private, I don't want to pay more taxes whilst the super-rich pay less, I don't want Corporate UK to be given any dodgy loopholes to allow them to exploit their workforce (cont. p94).
Socialism will triumph. Come on you reds!

Only morons vote blue red or yellow as a matter of conviction?
I do wish you would stop insulting people purely for the sake of it NoneGreen.
The only way I would vote is from conviction-and it is the more intelligent people who will take the time to study the issues.

I don't think they'll bother sending people to Germany to get opinions
