We've all no doubt had one of those e-mails from somebody on the other
side of the world promising a hefty (illegal) share in some dead
person's or defunct company's estate. If you have an hour to spare and
want a really good laugh, check out this link, where somebody has the
last laugh at a scammer, leaving the scammer short of a few bob and
making a complete prat of him in the process! It's also an interesting
insight into the way these scammers work:

I know someone with a shop who occasionally gets BS calls from a_holes prentending to be from his bank or credit card company who ask for his bank details or credit card details.

He just comes over all naive-sounding and gives them made-up details. It's nice thinking how they then go away and waste their time trying to use the false details given to them

Some of those bank email scams carry links to the real bank sites.

Cheeky scumbags.

Once responded with some fruity language, but that prompted weeks of incoming virus-riddled messages.

So don't be tempted.

On t'other hand, this reply to Barrister Williams in Nigeria did not draw any kind of response.....

Dear Barrister Williams

Please follow these instruction carefully :

(1) Load printer with good quality, sharp-edged paper

(2) Print this reply several times

(3) Remove paper from printer

(4) Place all pieces of paper in one pile

(5) Roll the pile of paper into a tight cone, pointed at one end

(6) Insert pointed end sharply up your arse

(7) Repeat after me "I am a cheap, thieving bastard and the bogeyman is going to get me"

Yours sincerely

The bogeyman
