Anyone know what the legal feet per second limit is in the UK. And can anyone recommend any particular models as being the muts nuts, either hand held or rifle. Im thinking of buying a few,.

1) a soft bb for indoor use - I have this bond fetish and frequently spin round in my chair whilst working and fire off half a dozen shots.

an indoor gun, safe to shoot people with

2) Hand gun, more powerful for target shoots. Ive had the C02 .177's and they seem limited re: power. Ive had the hand cocking .22, plenty of power, but wasnt keen on reloading. Not sure what to get, any big gun stores in London who do mailorder, and can advise on the best range out there?

3) maybe a rifle later in the year for more target shoots.

12ft/lbs for rifles and I think 6ft/lbs for pistols.

Anything higher requires a FAC

12ftlb.

Plotloss got there first, so I'll add that feet per second is not used because it varies with the weight of the pellet.

P.S. Am about to buy an air rifle for my bunnie population. A Logun S16 probably, but having trouble getting in touch with those people who control the FAC certificates

I've got a Western Arms (Japanese) Beretta (gas blow-back auto) to do just that (in the office). Great fun. All Western Arms stuff is astonishingly well made (although the blow-back thing is jamming at the moment since we were dropping it on a breeze block for some foley work )

Edited to say : don't shoot people with it though because it bloody hurts!

Julian, you could, if you were so inclined buy a Weirauch HW35 or 80 or similar and an Ox mainspring.

When the mainspring arrives it will have a washer in the pack. Any good fastner place will be able to get you a load of these washers.

If you are going after the bunnies, stick an additional washer or two in, then take it out when you get back.

Not strictly legal mind you...

No limits.

Would be silly if you can go out and buy an M16 with a driving licence.

That looks stunning. Ideally id like a fully auto sniper style rifle with mega scope and accuracy I've obviously got a bit of reading to do, but can one get silenced air rifles, and what are the current UK laws on taking a rifle out for a play in the woods?

Which site is that rifle above on?

Don't let Lorraine see this, she'll be after you with a baseball bat! She loves bunnies.

Bloody hell cyberhuss...where's the war ? that looks more lethal than an M60

I remember going head to head with my mate once, he had a Gat Gun with pellets, I had my Barnett Black Widow catapult with home made lead ball ammunition. I knew if I could get one hit on him it would be game over, the catapult is very powerful.

Well I took 2 pellets to the head before I got him on the hand which meant he couldn't reload, game over.

Still haven't grown up

It's on DenTrinityshop.com but unfortuantly its out of stock,
you could give them a call on availability of the item...

My brother ordered alot of stuff from them, they are pretty cheap compared to others,
if it gets stopped by customs it will still go through, you will just have to pay a lot of £££ in import duties etc =/

Yes i think you can get silenced air rifles, as for taking a rifle into the woods?
thats pretty stupid unless its private.

Pricy, shame its not fully auto.

re: the electric guns shooting at 280fps, what kind of range do they achieve, and are they any more or less accurate than the co2 or cocking counterparts similarly priced. I gather they are used for shooting people, hence the plastic bb's. Can all the plastic shooting electric guns take metal bb's? Im not really sure what I want yet.
