I've reached a point with my current employment/employer and I have to get out.
Its driving me mad. This company is riddled with pricks, most of whom are in charge.
My dilemma ?
Its good money, better than I've ever earnt but I just can't carry on working with clueless arse lickers who are only where they are because of "who you know" and not what they can do.

Dilemma and a half... or it can be. You just need to work out what's more important: earning maybe more than you should be and actually really hating the job you're in, or earning a little less but potentially enjoying it.
I'd go for less money/job satisfaction every time.

Or alternativley work for oneself.
I was forced to work for myself when my autistic son was out of school for 10 months.
I will always be grateful for this. The trauma and having no other way of earning money from home. made me look at my life and get back on the correct road,I am slowly building up my business and I work for me
I answer to me and I can work when I want.
Albeit constantly at the mo. But hey I LOVE MY JOB.
Go get a life change book read it and fingers crossed you will know which path to take.
if work is getting you down,get out just plan your escape route first.

It depends whether you just have your moments in this company, or whether you come home depressed every night.
Wherever you work, whatever you do, people will pi$$ you off. Your next job, should you decide to jump ship, won't be perfect people-wise either.
Try not to get involved to much in the day-to-day annoyances, and try to step back and really assess exactly what you are unhappy about.
If it's really getting you down, then trust me - life is just too short.

Agreed, totally. This is what it boils down to.
Having spent last 18 months temping in a succession of completely horrendous contracts, I was convinced I'd never find anything that a) interested me b) made me want to stay c) made me believe i could do more than a day there d) made life worth living!, but thank god I stuck with it and found the job I'm in now... I deliberately stayed away from perm work (at my peril financially, admittedly) til I found something I could bear. But it was hard on the sanity... good thing about temping is that you can leave a job at a day's notice... which I did on way more than one occasion. I'll never put money before my own sanity/happiness. It got me in some pickles, having that attitude, but I'm thinking it was worth it....

Bank Job? You need:
4 people, 1 driver, 2 robbers, 1 look out. How much money in the bank? £200k tops?? Each man gets £50k if you get away with it.
If caught? 7-10, you could earn that money honestly in 2 years with an office cleaning job working for yourself
Crime don't pay, unless you work for the scamera authorities. Therein lies the key: Work for yourself, it's not hard, just takes a bit more time and sffort at the start, but as you hone your abilities, time spent will drop and profit will rise. Want a day off? No problem either!
What ever you do, don't just sit there and rot. Get out there and do something

I have a few ideas. I just need to DO one of them.
I'm depressed about work too.
Told on Wednesday that they are making redundancies and no one is safe. (except the fat barstewards at the top! who caused the chaos).
I have a similar problem that I am well paid and the offices are conveniently close to home.
Oh well, I have updated the old CV and starting next week will have to look for a new job.
(whether I get the chop or not!)

Get a life ! Think about the millions of poor b*st*rds who are going insane at not having the option of a job !
Undereducated or unhealthy experienced people whose CV's are binned without a second glance by mid-twenties "HR consultants" just because they were born in same decade as Sting !
