...pewter tankard ...
Paul
A phrase that always reminds me of the BBC ad about programming with Vic and Bob featuring "Poldark on Mopeds"... "gimmie back my pewter tankard!"
"come back.. you've got my Tankard"
I think you'll find
At least someone else remembers it!Why not think about what each one would really enjoy (within reason), and buy them that?
I have been best man three times, and the gift that one groom gave me has meant more than the other two. It also happened to be the cheapest. It was given by a very close friend, and he thought long and hard about what to get.
I have ushered more times than I can remember, and the same applies. To illustrate - twice I was bought a bottle of good single malt. One simply bought a bottle of a fairly common one for each usher. The other learned what my taste in malts was, and spent some time and effort to find me a rare and much more special one. Didn't cost any more though.
Which meant the most to me?
Oli.
