Far from me to be any mouthpiece for womens rights (as long as she has my dinner on the table on time!
), this just makes me fume! I hadn't realised they've successfully prevented women from participating in outdoor sports and now want to ban them from all advertising. These dark age f
ks need to be told where to stick their prehistoric ideas! No wonder so many people in the West have so little respect for Islam, even without terrorism.

Have you actually read the article at all?
They haven't successfully prevented women from competing in outdoor sports, they have introduced a bill, which is all together different to implenting a law, need I remind you of fox hunting? is that bill implented too?
Apart from all the other ranting, which is ill-directed and ill advised, what you fail to glean from the article, is that this is the posturing of a group of fanatics, not the majority of the population and certainly not the views of the President.
Finally, these notions are totally Un-Islamic, as a matter of fact, and are merely cultural hang ups that these people have had for thousands of years to subjugate women.

968, does your keyboard light up and alarms sound when these subjects come up?
Not really, but if I wrote an article calling all white people 'dark age f**ks' I think you might take offense too, and rightly, so am I not allowed to state the alternative case?
I think Lazy's comment was a light hearted observation on your speed of response, rather than an attack on your position.
968 is probably correct in that there are a minority of fanatics that give Islam a bad name.
Islam at the time is was created was not misogynistic, in fact it created more rights for women than existed at that time, in that region.
But it is true to say that if you look at the Koran it regards women as being unequal.

Go for it. We're big enough and smart enough to know you'd be wrong. I think you're obsessed with race: the more you bang on about black and white, you more you stir up. Why not just ignore colour, leave your collection of blunt axes in the shed and get on with life? Let it lie.

No, if you didn't post, we'd all think your early warning system had broken down.
Have a nice evening. I'm about to tuck into a nice lamb tikka with a madras sauce, chips, Carlsberg Export and French wine.
