What do you do to amuse yourself in jams?
Discussion
Got stuck on the M25 this evening (forgot just quite how horrific it is) and sat there for so long I decided to start looking at people (also hardly moving) the other way.
The results were as follows:
1. Rival gal in reasonable convertible - I stuck my tongue out at her - she gave me the finger.
2. Minibus full of stag-weekenders
- they blew kisses - I smiled sweetly with huge embarrassment, especially as there were about 15 of them.
3. Bright green van driver - I waved - he waved back.
4. Rep-boy - I smiled - he smiled. Never know - it could have been love
5. Argos lorry driver - I pulled face - he rolled eyes (in agreement of direness of traffic)
6. Female in polo, clearly also listening to radio 1 (sorry) and we had a 'synchronised head nodding' moment.
7. Granny type in 190E - stuck tongue out at her. Got ignored. Waved - got ignored. Gave up.
I never knew traffic jams could be so much fun!
And I forgot that people actually exist inside these cars that go back and fourth in long lines!
Try communicating - it's actually quite fun - after the initial embarrassment, that is!

The most fun I ever had in a jam was on the M42 last February. I was with my mate Ella and she is a real flirt. She noticed a guy singing along and gesticulating to his stereo. We thought he looked really funny. I wound down my window and asked him what he was listening to. "Northern soul," came the reply. I asked him where his Lambretta was
It was really good natured and fun. Usually I just stare straight ahead and don't really look at anyone else because I usually travel on my own.

Beatbox, all the more fun if there are a few people on board, then one takes the bass duty, etc, etc. Name a theme and then do collective improvising. It's a lot of fun.

Person 4 "couple" "yahhh yahhhh ich kommen dine pussy"-(German Accent) "Help! Help" (Woman in pain)
Etc, etc. you get the idea..
