A reporter for the Daily Telegraph went for a walk about in St Leonards to ask people their concerns. He was in a predominantly working class area and of the 16 questioned 10 cited immigration and crime as their chief concerns.

Perhaps not surprisingly due to the 200 person asylum hostel in St Leonards and the fact that many were recent victims of crime.

But the story I wonder whether if its true or not is when he questioned one guy.

Who said 'I think schools are the most important thing'

on immigration? 'I like the way Tony Blair lets everyone in. Also its good under Labour becuase you can just go along to the dole office and get the money without any trouble'

Your occupation? 'Well i've just come out of a psychiatric ward'
