Try using a glass half full of water as an ashtray because your too lazy to go down stairs and get one. Then imagine that glass being next to your bed at 3 o'clock in the morning and taking a sip of it in a sleepy drunken haze. Couldn't even go near a smoker for about a week.

Never, ever, cook a curry after painting inside the house using gloss paint. the individual smells of cooking curry and paint, i quite like, but mixed together is truly horrible!

Putting aside atypical smells like rotting corpses and putrification for a moment, the worst day-to-day smell is when you leave skisky in a glass overnight (a terrible thing to do, I know) and smell it the next day when all the alcohol has evaporated. Smells really horrible.

(Obviously this can't compete with a rotting fox, but there you go).

A few months ago I was on a job on a hospital site and we had had to run some cable through the loft space of a mortuary.

The smell is something I won't forget in a hurry

Liquid sulphur.

Puts everything else in the shade by miles. You just want to get as far away from it as possible.
